Beyond Notifications

AI-Powered Analysis

Two separate AI tools serve different needs. Alert Analysis is reactive — it explains why an alert triggered and why the stock moved. Price Targets & News is proactive — tap any stock to see analyst consensus targets alongside the latest headlines and what they mean for the stock. Use either one from the same stock context screens in the app.

Reactive

Alert Analysis

Understand why your alerts trigger

When your alert conditions are met, Triggerly generates a tailored AI briefing on the Alert Details screen. Five focused questions and answers cover what caused the move, whether it is technically significant, what the market is pricing in, which levels to watch next, and the risks to weigh before you act.

Analysis is generated when the alert fires and stays with that trigger in your history, so you can revisit it anytime. Tap any question to expand the answer.

Price Alerts

Track raw price movement with alerts tuned to how you measure a move.

Price Target Alerts

Set a specific dollar level and get notified when price crosses it — above or below, your choice. The alert fires on the cross itself, not while price sits past your level, so you know exactly when your line is hit. It can trigger again if price retreats and crosses back later.

Percentage Change Alerts

Measure moves as a percent from the reference you pick: since you created the alert, from the prior close, from the open versus yesterday's close, or on the daily close. Ideal for scanning broad swings across stocks at different price levels without recalculating dollar thresholds for every ticker.

Price Change Alerts

Same flexible reference modes as percentage alerts, but in absolute dollars — useful when a fixed dollar move matters more than a percentage. For example, a $2 swing on a $30 stock can mean something different than a 5% move, and this alert type lets you define that threshold directly.

Trend & Momentum

Follow trend shifts and momentum turns with moving averages and MACD.

Moving Average Crosses

Alert on SMA or EMA relationships with price or a target level. Watch price cross a 50- or 200-day average, or get notified when the average line itself crosses a price you define. Choose lookback periods from 5 to 200 days; calculations use completed daily closes for reliable trend signals that filter out intraday noise.

MACD Alerts

Classic momentum crosses on daily closes — MACD crossing above or below its signal line, or crossing above or below zero. Signal-line crosses highlight shifts in buying or selling pressure; zero-line crosses show whether short-term momentum is positive or negative relative to the longer trend. Each detected cross fires once per event.

Volatility & Overbought/Oversold

Gauge when a stock may be stretched or breaking out of its recent range.

RSI Alerts

Wilder's 14-day RSI on daily closing prices. Alert when RSI crosses your threshold — use the 70 / 30 overbought and oversold presets, or set any custom level from 1 to 99. Fires on the cross, flagging when recent buying or selling pressure may be stretched relative to the stock's recent history.

Bollinger Bands

Alert when price breaks above the upper band or below the lower band. Bands expand and contract with volatility, so breakouts and mean-reversion setups stand out when price pushes outside its recent envelope. Choose the direction you care about — upper break, lower break, or both depending on your strategy.

Volume & Breakouts

Catch unusual activity and decisive breaks at key levels.

Volume Above

Set alerts for when a stock's volume rises above a specific target level. Notify when cumulative daily volume meets or exceeds your threshold — a sign of heightened interest that often precedes larger price moves. The alert fires once per trading day when your level is hit, then resets on the next session so you catch fresh activity without duplicate pings on the same day.

Volume Spike

Triggers instantly when a stock's volume exceeds its 20-day average by a multiple of your choice — 2x, 3x, 5x, or 10x. Ideal for catching unusual participation relative to recent history, not just a raw share count you guessed in advance.

New Highs & Lows

Breakout and breakdown alerts over a lookback period you choose. Get notified when price makes a new high or new low for that window — useful for spotting range breaks, trend continuation, and stocks pushing into uncharted territory on your timeframe.

Risk Management

Automate entry and exit rules that adapt as price moves.

Trailing Stop & Trailing Buy Stop

Trailing Stop ratchets upward as the stock makes new highs, then alerts when price falls by your fixed dollar or percent trail — built for protecting open profits without guessing an exit level upfront.

Trailing Buy Stop works in reverse: it follows pullbacks, ratcheting downward with new lows, and alerts when price rebounds by your trail — built for chasing breakouts after a dip without buying too early.

Combined Alerts

Stop reacting to single signals. With Combined Alerts, you can now require multiple conditions to be true simultaneously before getting notified.

Examples:

  • Price breaks above resistance with a Volume Spike
  • RSI drops below 30 and price reaches your target
  • Multiple technical indicators confirm a move at the same time

This gives you much higher quality signals with significantly less noise.
